GrooveTop ft. Last Saturdays, Sunny Side & Secret Pals

We're coming up to that time of the year! 🤩 No, not Christmas but the Singapore September silly season. F1 is an insane time for this city- you either love it or you hate it, either gear up for the parties or avoid it at all costs. Whichever one you are - we're here to offer an in between!

A week before the madness truly kicks off we're taking over TRIFECTA, the world’s first Surf-Snow-Skate & Lifestyle destination in the heart of Orchard Road. We'll be throwing an epic, day-to-night rooftop party with some of Singapore's most exciting young DJs repping their crews Secret Pals, Sunny Side & Last Saturdays!

We'll be kicking it on the rooftop from 4pm to 10pm with the coolest sundown vibe in Orchard before heading down to the bar for a thumping after-party.

In true GrooveTop fashion, the DJs will be serving a mix of Funk, Soul, Hip Hop, UKG, R&B, House, Disco and everything else in between.

Get your tickets now, you won't want to miss.

In the throes of the global pandemic, the Last Saturdays collective emerged, inspired by the infectious energy of Melbourne's summer day parties. Founded by a quartet of music enthusiasts, Last Saturdays quickly became a household name for the local community. Last Saturdays stands out for its nomadic nature, with parties popping up at different venues across Singapore. It remains to be a movement that encapsulates the spirit of inclusivity, community, fun, and the relentless pursuit of good times under the sun.

Secret Pals

If you’re not familiar with the pals, these new kids on the block (& on the decks) are the creative Filipino collective based in Singapore: @secret.pals. With the heart of supporting the creative communities in both countries they call home: Singapore and the Philippines, their hope is to bridge the two together for a crossover of cultures and that meaningful exchange whether in music, design, food, art, nightlife or more.

Bringing their love for good vibes and good times with just about anything under the sun, these not-so-secret secret pals take their love for open format with a blend of genres ranging from House, Disco & Funk to lesser-known styles like World Sounds, UK Funk and plenty of good ol' guilty pleasures thrown in the mix for some fun.

Sunny Side

The uplifting & groovy Sunny Side Crew brings eclectic blends across genres from Hiphop, R&B, Garage, House, Disco, Funk & Soul -- helmed by Dee, Moss, Gan & Fatcatheartattack.

Sunny Side has played for Mandala Club, Potato Head, Wild Pearl, New Bahru, Tanglin Gin Distillery & more. Together, they also curated the soundtracks to Green House, the sustainability festival at New Bahru.

🏁 TRIFECTA RACE CLUB 🏁

This Grand Prix Season Singapore, gear up for the ultimate race pitstop on Orchard Rd with TRIFECTA Race Club. It's time to rev up your engines with speedy Surf & Snow Challenges, a grand prix special rooftop party takeover by GROOVETOP, electric test drives, and exclusive ride discounts for F1 Ticket Holders!

THE DJS

KIROLLUS (GROOVE ANTHOLOGY, UK)
One of Kirollus’ greatest strengths is his ability to take listeners on a journey and unify the dancefloor. His strong affinity to music and understanding of the psychological power of sound enables him to evoke the emotions of others with his unique delivery and selections.

Nothing quite compares to seeing Kirollus perform in person, his larger than life persona behind the turntables clearly comes from a place of authenticity and a genuine connection with those on the dancefloor. His eclectic all vinyl sets are deeply rooted in a soul and groove, nurtured during his 8 years tenure behind the counter at Uptight Records in Hove and an obsession with uncovering music from decades gone by. During this time Kirollus has developed an enviable collection and ear for music which far surpasses his years and has managed to gain the appeal of a wide demographic whilst staying true to himself both musically and his personal convictions.

His platform Groove Anthology is a product of Kirollus’ love of connecting people through music and dance with the goal of increasing the opportunities for the many overlooked DJs in the industry. The last 12 months has seen Kirollus at festivals all across the UK and headlining shows throughout Italy, The Netherlands and other parts of Europe, including a dynamic b2b with Detroit legend Marcellus Pittman in Geneva.

EMEL ROWE
Though it may not have been initially evident even for himself, Emel Rowe has the love for music engraved in his DNA. The Filipino-Australian DJ, party polymath, and vibe manager brings with him a gift of feeling; one that led to a flourishing career spinning across countries and co-founding UNKNWN, CC:Concepts and Manila Community Radio in the Philippines along the way. From closing Equation Festival and raising a rager in Wonderfruit Festival to hosting numerous events across the archipelago, Rowe has been both fortunate and diligent with his mission to share special moments on and off the floor.

RAAJ

With over 20 years of experience in DJing, RAAJ (or Joshua P) has left a significant mark on the Southeast Asian music scene. Drawing from his Tamil roots, RAAJ strives to showcase his culture to the masses while maintaining a deep connection to his heritage.

His journey in the Singapore scene has seen him hold residencies at iconic venues like KU DE TA/CE LA VI, Butter Factory, and Fashion Bar. RAAJ also frequently headlines local parties, consistently pushing the boundaries of music and culture. His eclectic sets blend genres such as Funk, Soul, House, Bass, Garage, Afro, and Tamil and South Indian hits, creating a unique and vibrant experience for his audience.

RAAJ's influence extends beyond the DJ booth; he has also served as a music director for establishments like KU DE TA, CE LA VI, Bar Rouge, and currently at Mandala Club. His booking selections at Mandala Club reflect his commitment to diversity, featuring artists like JYOTY, NASH (IND), Habibibeats, Nia Archives, Yung Singh, Murder He Wrote, and more, contributing to the rich tapestry of Singapore's club landscape. He also has the privilege of sharing the stage with Anderson.Paak, Nightmares On Wax, LTJ BUKEM, Conducta, Henrik Schwarz, SIRENE!, Gregor Salto, Basement Jaxx, among many others.

RAAJ continues to share his mixes with a global audience, recently being featured on Rinse FM for Yung Singh. Through his passion for music and dedication to his roots, RAAJ remains a driving force in shaping Singapore’s nightlife scene.

Mixtapes & Mixology ft. Candiceb, Khally, Durio & Butta B (PH)

You asked for it time and time again so here we are, back with a full blown Hip Hop night. 🔥 Teaming up with the best ladies in the game, we’ve put together an excellent line up for you for the first edition of our new series in collaboration with Rémy Martin, Mixtapes & Mixology.

The night takes off with complimentary cocktails from a curated menu from Rémy Martin 1738 Accord Royal and beats by our girl Candiceb. Then a special live set from Neo-Soul and R&B singer/songwriter Khally, before we pump the party up with Durio (Attagirl!). The final set of the night comes from a very exciting act from Manila, Butta B!

Butta B has been an important figure in Manila’s nightlife industry for 8 years now. Her career began when she started promoting “Bad Decisions Wednesdays” in BlackMarket, which became the most prominent underground Hip Hop night in town. As Manila’s nightlife industry grew bigger, Butta B grew with it. She’s known for serving anything from old school Hip Hop and R&B to Future Bass, Trap,House, Funk, Soul and Dance music. Her fresh sound has landed her gigs locally and internationally, including festivals like Malasimbo Music and Arts Festival, Wonderland in the Philippines and Good Vibes Festival in Malaysia.

Get through the doors before 10pm and get your first round of Rémy Martin 1738 Accord Royal cocktails on us!
