GrooveTop was born in 2018, out of a craving for a different type of party - away from the regular nightclub atmosphere. The first edition was held at an industrial rooftop space in Serangoon that housed a bar and a creative co-working space, filled with mismatched sofas, photoshoot props, paintbrushes and random artwork. The vibe was casual and friendly, the music soulful, the BBQ hot and the Jungle Bird cocktails tasty af.

Six years and a pandemic later, though the crowd has grown and the venues have changed - it’s still the same good vibes, soulful music and most of all - awesome people coming together to have a damn good time.

Since the relaunch, GrooveTop has hosted some of the best DJs Singapore has to offer and multiple talents from around the region including Kampai (IN), Stalvart John (Dynamite Disco Club, IN), Roshan (SaturdaySelects, MY), Butta B, St Vincent & The Grenadines, ManilaJunkie, Margáchi (MNL), Cristal No.5, DAFFABEDAMNED, Fakkta, Andre (Bali) and Maggie Tra (SYS Sister Sounds, Hanoi Community Radio, AUS/VN).

GrooveTop has also played host to international acts such as S!RENE (NL), The Whooligan (NYC) Conducta (UK), Jarreau Vandal (NL), Wantigga (NL) Tera Kòrá (NL), JAEL (NL), Melvo Baptiste (UK), Murder He Wrote (UK) Tatoun (FR), Yasmin (MX) and Mi Ki Mak (UK).

GrooveTop is led by a team of two - Sophie Wee and Amanda Scully - with over 12 years of experience in the nightlife, music and events industry, not to mention countless hours spent on the dance floor. 💃🏻💃🏻
